I feel a series of New Years posts coming on.
I don’t know about you, but this particular New Years is a big deal for me.
It’s not even about fireworks or parties or kissing someone at midnight.
It’s about starting over fresh.
Letting go of old habits.
Taking advantage of new opportunities.
It’s even a great time to reinvent yourself.
Either way, this new year should be focused on the positives. Be thankful for what you have. Spend more time with family or friends. Go after your dreams. Get that job you’ve always wanted. Finish the novel you’ve been working on. (That one’s definitely a note to myself.)
Whatever you decide to do, make 2012 your best year yet! Don’t settle. Be the best you that you can be and don’t take no for an answer.
And please, don’t get caught up in romantics either.
Love will come to you. No need to go searching for it.
When it’s the right time, it’ll happen.
Until then, you have to make important things happen for yourself. Work on being happier, being more positive, being healthier.
Life is too short to waste time on menial things.
I also recommend doing this challenge, the Five New Habits for a Better Life challenge.
You could start now or as soon as the ball drops on New Years Eve. It’d be a great way to start or finish the year.
Also be sure to write down any all goals you have for the new year and keep them on your mirror or a place where you’ll see them every day.
