Empire Theory consists of five guys from Orlando, set on changing the world through their music. Previously, each member had been working on their own musical projects through churches, but when they formed the group, they decided to venture out and reach out to a bigger audience: the world. Together they put together the pop/rock band that they are today.
Their producer Roy Mitchell-Cardenas gave them their chance to make the changes they have set out to make when they approached him with their ideas and music. In August 2012, Empire Theory released their first EP ‘Colors’ which contains five tracks full of infectious beats and catchy lyrics; tracks that are guaranteed to make one dance. The band writes about love, diversity and how to be the best that one can be, which means one can easily relate to any of their songs. They get their inspiration from great, well-known bands such as Muse, U2, MUTEMATH and The Beatles. Yet Empire Theory have unique qualities of their own, each member bringing their own personal vibe to the band.
Empire Theory have plans to enter the studio this fall to work on their next EP and are planning to tour the Southeast. They recently released a remix of their single “Colors”, with all proceeds going to SolesforSouls, an organisation dedicated to fighting poverty.
It’s clear from the bands dedication and success of their EP ‘Colors’ that Empire Theory are certainly a band to look out for in the near future. There is definitely a great future ahead for these boys in regards to the music industry. They’re certainly a band that one should keep an eye on.
