No matter who you are, opening for the energetic Panic! At The Disco is a pretty big deal. Tuesday night, a sold out crowd at the House of Blues in Houston, Texas welcomed indie-electronic duo Junior Prom. Everyone in the crowd, from the barricade to the bar to the balcony could not stop themselves from dancing and bobbing their heads to the electronic beats and catchy lyrics. The Brooklyn natives looked right at home on stage in Houston although they were only recently announced for seven dates of the tour, making their way from Philadelphia to Phoenix in ten days. The band came prepared with a solid set list that featured songs from their new EP such as “International”, an upbeat pop-rock song that is sure to be stuck in your head, as well as the funky jam “Shoot the Guitar Player.” After finishing up the Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die! Tour, they will be back in Austin to be a part of one of the biggest annual spring music festivals, South by Southwest. Junior Prom has everything it takes to break into the mainstream airwaves, so keep an eye out for the duo as they make their debut.
