Brooklyn’s Oh Honey sound as sweet as their name. With their debut EP, ‘With Love’, the duo delivers a delightful sprinkling of uplifting tunes that are perfect for night drives and bonfires in the summertime. The band, Mitchy Collins and Danielle Bouchard, know how to have a good time, as well as how to make you feel better. It is near impossible to be anything but optimistic while listening to the four songs, especially the rollicking good time “Be Okay”.
There’s a bit of country sensibility in the bare bones sadness of “Lonely Neighbor (What Am I To You?)” which will appeal to fans of acts like Taylor Swift and Cassadee Pope. With the fact that they recently signed to Atlantic Records and were added to the Sirius XM rotation, it will only be a matter of time before the band and their positive message get the widespread recognition they deserve.
Their upcoming tour with American Authors, starting October 21st at the Moon in Tallahassee, FL, is a perfect fit, as both bands are upbeat, uplifting, and make you believe that yeah, things are going to get better. You shouldn’t miss the chance to see these bands grace the same stage, because I’m willing to bet it’s going to be epic. Oh Honey will also be playing a free show in Brooklyn at the Mets Jam Music Festival on September 6th.
