I got my first ever tattoo at age 18 as I was finally starting to heal after being abandoned by my borderline mother at age 16. She left at a crucial time in my life and even though I ultimately knew I was better off without a mother than a mother who was unable to love unconditionally, I struggled with depression and anxiety. My tattoo was inspired by some of my favorite song lyrics, and reminds me not to dwell on the past or things I can’t control, but to live every single day like it’s going to be the day that determines my legacy. Forgive, not only others, but yourself, and make a positive difference in someone else’s life.
If there’s anything that doesn’t work, let me know.
